Does anyone use their BiPAP during the day to fight off the nasty effects of Co2 build up rather than because they feel short of breath?

Hi Rachelg,
I use mine for shortness of breath in the daytime.

Shortness of breath. And anxiety about shortness of breath. D

Wife Pat uses bipap. At first she couldn't tolerate mask for very long but then managed 2 or 3 hours at a time. She used it for a couple of hours at night and then for an afternoon nap.
After a while she was able to do a whole night albeit in two stages and now doesn't nap in the afternoon. She is on pressure setting 11.

my sister uses hers for both reasons - if the co2 gets too high a coma could happen.
