The following trials have been listed on clinicaltrials.gov in January:

http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show?term=np001&rank=2
http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01281189?term=Dexpramipexole&rank=3
Both are at US locations for now, but hopefully the UK trial of Dexpramipexole will not be far behind

NP001 is causing some excitement in the US, with over 30,000 views on the ALS TDI forum. This is in part to it's similarity to WF10, a drug already licensed in Thailand. ALS Untangled will be investigating the effectiveness of WF10 for ALS so keep an eye out for their report.

One question: why has the MNDA not included NP001 in its clinical trials listing, especially since the highly respected Bob ****** is it's principal investigator?

I take back my comment on NP001 - it is now on the MNDA clinicals trials list. Apologies to those compiling the list. J xx

Prof Shaw at Sheffield mentioned the Dexpramipexole when I saw her early in the new year. The following report sounds quite encouraging on th 300mg dose: http://journals.lww.com/neurotodayonline/Fulltext/2010/07010/New_Als_Drug_Shows_Dose_Dependent_Efficacy_in.2.as px

The trial information has now been updated. Confirmed UK sites are Birmingham, Liverpool, Oxford & Newcastle. Get yourself to a trial site for assessment if possible. http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/study/NCT01281189?term=Dexpramipexole&rank=3&show_locs=Y#locn
