My hair is falling out at an alarming rate. Is it caused by MND or stress? I don't feel stressed and I don't take any anti-depression medicat\ion, I was taking Warfrin for six months to combat a DVT but finished the treatment in July.

Hi Joybells,

I have the polar opposite problem, dont know why but my nails grow quicker I shave more often and am getting hairy like a wolf,
my mum has been on warfrin for some years and her hair is now thinner.I have seen some good body shampoos that might help.

best wishes.

Roy.

Hi Joybells,

Get your Doctor to check out your Thyroid. Under active thyroid is common cause of hair loss. Check your eyebrows. If outer third is void of hair thyroid deficiency is likely.

Best wishes

Hi Roy Joybells

Yes me too Roy, the nails seem to grow very quick, and well hope the Beatle cut comes back into fashion very soon?, as for the Hairloss problem the wife takes the herbal pills from a well known store for Hair Skin and Nails ,it has helped her so may be worth a try?

Pete

Ps off to check the eyebrows ?

Morning Bob.

Another good remedy is chicken dung, rub gently for 5 minutes from front to back each day for 5 weeks, I am told it works wonders!

great day Bob hope the view is good for you today.

best Roy.

Thanks Roy but I'm passing on that remedy, no wonder your changing into wolf-man.

Ian - I am already having treatment for an underactive thyroid which I've had for ten years. This hair loss is on-going and alarming, I'm seeing my specialist later this month and will ask him.

Pete - my nails are like steel and I can't file them anymore, I have to cut them with a clippers. If I was going hairy like Roy as well I'd be really worried especially when there's a full moon !!!!!

Hi John,

Hi all

As you can see , what started out as a footpath on my head , it has ended up as a four lane motorway with no grass verges !
I now model pickled eggs for pocket money for G&Ts

Hi Ray,
Like you I am folically challenged. I have started growing on my chin as I still can. Rory I have still got the grass verges although my barber seems to want to change that when I go see him.
