Hi Ardalon,
I have not heard of anyone on the forum mention this drug in relation to MND treatment ,I have a good friend who has had two kidney transplants however and I know he was taking this drug as a anti rejection regime, what was the comment about ,was it related to ALS /MND treatment ??.

yes,Pete ist title was new hope for ALS

Let's hope it proves to do some good, it will no doubt be subject to trials as everything else is, but being an approved drug at least that's one less obstacle to overcome just getting our regulations in the UK to approve it for use.

Hi John,

Thank you again for the information it looks promising but if it works for just one person I would be really chuffed ,we are long overdue some good news ,and really sick and tired of empty promises of what may be in the future brigade ,but it's really easy to be relaxed about time scales particularly ,if your not the one needing the drug now .

Found this on alstdi website. Does not look promising if it is the same drug.

This is an anti rejection drug. Neuralstem are researching anti rejection drugs because they feel that some of the reported success with their stem cells may be due to the anti rejection drugs used alongside the stem cell procedures.

Hi Steve,
After reading the abstract I must agree with you.
Well, however let us keep hope.
