At the crux of research is that a lot is funded by pharmaceutical companies, do they want to find a cure - no way, there's no money in cures but there is a hell of a lot in a drug that keeps people dependent on it to keep them alive - sorry it's the uber cynical Cath on site today - had a rotten night with Mic last night and it ain't gonna get any better
Until a drug is proved successful , the Venture Capitalists will not invest or fund growth / further development - so that is why the costs are so high in the hope we make several millionaires in the drug company !
We live in hope for a cure but I fel it will be for the next generation
