BBC Breakfast news this morning featured a story regarding a man with MND who is using software to record his own voice for when his voice eventually goes.

I don't know anything about the software, although his story will be featured on BBC Inside Out Northwest tonight. Here is an excerpt from one of the papers:

"A Motor Neurone Disease sufferer is cataloguing his voice so his 13 months old son will know what he sounds like.
Laurence Brewer is using new voice software called Model Talker to bank 1,600 phrases so he can still read to Stan even after his voice has gone".
It may not be giving much description about MND and what it does, but its good to see MND getting some publicity.

(Mods - if there is already another MND on TV thread, please could you merge this in, or wherever you feel it would be best. Thanks).
