    I'd be interested to know how you get on with doing the POA forms yourself as this is something Dad and I will need to consider......it would be useful to find someone that's done the forms themselves and that can give feedback on how difficult it is.....if we can save the additional cost it seems daft not to....

    I did not think there was n age limit to continuing health care. Seem to remember my Mum getting it in her 70s and am hoping Peter, 65, will qualify for it. Did listen to Money Box. It was helpful.

    My grey cells playing up again. You are right there is no age limit other than over 18.

    That's where I will try when of if I need,but I'm very fortunate to have great support from my GP and also Sue Ryder.

    Hi Magic,
    Irene had a long term care nurse assigned to her and she did the initial assessment. She worked at the local health centre. She then contacted the nhs assessment officer.
