An updated page from our website with all of the info on it. You may find this useful in terms of the UK part of the trial which is now open.

Had my screening visit today, first part seems to have gone ok. The most crucial part was the breathing test which can rule you out there and then, fortunatley i passed so its a case of waiting to see if all the rest is ok, should know within a week and if all goes well i could starting it in no time

    i'll keep you posted.

    Hi all,

Bit of rant coming but I found out yesterday that my mum will not be offered a chance to participate on the Dexpramipexole trial. One word ... gutted. Really gutted.

Apparently the biggest reason is that she has just started to use the PEG. Urhhh...?! That's not even on the exclusion list! She can still swallow so taking tablets would not be a problem.

I am going to try and find out whether there is more to it than this. Maybe the clinic now something we don't about the drug.

    Hi Chris,

I take it all back! The Clinic have emailed me saying they have looked into the exclusion criteria further and having / using a PEG is not a issue. I could have told them that! Bit worrying really that they don't know these simple details. Hey ho! Just need to see if my mum is interested in taking part.
