Hi Terry just to say I am home this afternoon had it done Monday and home today the procedure went really well I did my own feed this afternoon you definitely have go take your time and get everything ready but as we have all said on this forum its a necessity getting the peg put it. I haven't suffered any discomfort I have done everything they have told me. I had a few moments of despair in the hospital the nurses always put the fittings back on the peg so tight I couldn't get them off but reminding them I have mnd did the trick,
Goodness I shall be an expert in peg procedures shortly only joking. My biggest problem wasn't he operation but the height of the loos chairs and beds in the hospital I couldn't get out of any of them without ringing the bell but the medical staff were all great so you cant have it all wish I had took my ipad in I missed the forum its good to be back best wishes Mary x

Glad it went well for you Mary. Your comment about fittings being tight made me smile as I think this every time I try to remove the cork from a bottle of wine. If you can still take liquid by mouth, have one on me when you get over the operation.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Glad all went well and you are recovering Mary.
Yes, do keep me and Norman posted, I'm due to have mine done in October sometime, what about you Norman, is yours booked?
I'm Trying for 8/10 and hoping three weeks will be long enough for it to heal as I want to go to Spain.

Hi yes I am feeling just fine today so glad to be out of hospital and home my consultant visited me after the peg was fitted and said not to expect any weight increase for a while yet but the multitude of vitamins in the feed should start kicking in and making me feel a little less tired - everytime I sit in my recliner chair I nod off I must be wonderful company for hubby.
I didn't find any discomfort in having the peg fitted it was amazing how short a time it took to insert the peg. Take Care Mary
