Steve I know I should agree with you & Ellie (and probably most people on forum) but I believe in personal choice . Kat's Dad couldn't have had very bad choking episodes or he's persevere with peg. I'm not anti peg at all and will probably have one in due course (I wasn't going to but with cure coming soon I may reconsider). Dude

I'm very pro choice, as long as that choice coressponds with mine.

Ppl make bad choices, you support Man Yoo for example.

I have been guilty of playing Devil's advocate, but not on health.

Just a thought Katrina. Your Dad, has he tried both the Ensure Plus and the Ensure Compact, Julie was on the Ensure Plus (larger bottle) then switched to the Ensure Compact (smaller bottle but same calories)

The compact is slightly thicker than the Plus version. I would imagine that both can be used with a PEG (don't know for sure) but the Compact as I have said is slightly thicker but contains the same calories (per bottle).

Just a thought as I do not know what your dad has tried if not both.

Julie is on the Compact due to the problem she has with 'volume'. I would also imagine that you can thicken both slightly with (we use) 'Thick & Easy' thickening agent (No calories in this though)

It is all trial and error and when you get it right everything changes again, well it does with my Julie... Always trying to be one step ahead with everything but falling at every hurdle

I find overnight feeding via a pump brill. Takes all the pressure off.

I am really hoping that this is the way we are going to go Steve (eventually) as Julie does not move a muscle all night (12 hours) so this would be heaven for the both of us if we could do this once Julie's PEG has been 'installed'
