Moringa
Superba krill oil
Turmeric
Vitamin D
Extra virgin coconut oil
I can't confirm the efficacy of these and I have a slower version of MND but I do believe that my immune system is helped as I am generally free from colds.
Hi Rumba, we are exploring supplements also:
Cod liver oil with vitamins A and D (to keep colds at bay)
Taurine (for building muscle strength)
Magnesium (to help with cramps)
Vitamin B complex (for energy)
Folic acid ( for neural pathways)
And milk thistle (to help to protect the liver)
All of these are fairly cheap and can be found in the chemist
I am going to look at moringa, I am also going to look at combining the magnesium with calcium
Hello Fru
I have been recently diagnosed MND. I was being treated for carpal tunnel and a possible back problem due to my walking becoming slow and difficult.
I have been considering taking supplements. DiD you decide to take these yourself or were you advised to? I would be interesting in any other members who have tried supplements to help with symptoms.
Hi Ann,
My consultant prescribed vitamin c and a multivitamin daily. He warned me that the prescribed vitamin c tasted disgusting and it certainly did. So now I just buy a chewable version. The multivitamin was a capsule which was too big to swallow and I don't yet have swallowing problems. So again, I just buy a chewable version.

Hi Ann, I take a lot of supplements!
Here goes-
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Vitamin B Strong
Mitochondria
Chlorella
Zinc
Selenium
Butyric acid
Toxaprevent
I had a hair analysis done and the results showed that I had high levels of mercury and aluminium.
I also take extra virgin coconut oil and Bulletproof oil.
I'm on a high fat, high protein, anti inflammatory diet, which sadly means very low sugar!

Hi Newbie, Where did you get your hair analysis done? Is it somewhere in the UK? How much it cost?
Cheers
Hi Jay
It was through a friend who is a highly qualified nutritionist.
I'm sorry but I don't know where it was sent but I'll try and find out for you.
All the best x
Jay,
The company is Analytical Research Labs ( an American company) through The Edinburgh Centre of Nutrition and Therapy (0131 229 1077). Probably best to be referred by a Therapist so they can interpret the results.
Hello Ann, Well, we have explored lots of different vitamins and have finally given up for the time being. Sometimes we feel pressured into trying things such as turmeric as 'friends' act horrified as if I am denying my other half something that will help him if I don't have them available. The drawer in our kitchen has got everything in it, I can assure you. The one thing that I like is coconut oil, for me, not Ed as I think it helps my arthritis, I seem to have less pain when I take that. The only thing our GP advised was folic acid. I think that you can overdo it with certain things. Hope this all helps
Best wishes Fru.
Here is my stack. Anti oxidants and neuro protective.
Double Strength Turmeric
Vit D3
Grape Seed Extract (Vit E)
CoQ 10
Magnesium Taurate
Rilazole
Canabanoid (CBD)
AAKG Mega Hardcore with Citruline Malate
Do they work? I dont know as I dont have a self that has never taken supplements. I hope they do and I will continue taking them.
Hi Ali, i could help noticing that you mention CBD in your list of supplements. Would you care to share how long you've been taking Canabinoid. It is not yet available in WA, although it is now i believe legal if prescribed by a medical officer. Any observations? It is being currently cultivated and will be on the market and i might myself trial it out. it kind of help if one receives some feedbacks beforehand.
Best wishes
Marieline
And Rumba I use Vit B12 since the early years, injection form, initially it was weekly, then fortnightly, then monthly, now it's quarterly.
Co Q10, D3, Coconut oil, Colostrum, Magnesium, Zinc, Multvitamin, Vit C (high dose), seaweed, and few only when i need.
cheers

Hi Marieline. I have been taking for a couple of months. As far as observations, nothing apart from my hands seem to not shake as much and I have got a bit more strength in them. I can type as fast as I used to (almost) and I have noticed I can pick my ebook up now.
