Hi CC from the other Barry,

Like Terry I wasn’t so keen on the song from the Dublin concert. I prefer Bruce when he sings ballads like this https://youtu.be/hFqswzMmnI4

My daughter is taking me to a concert tomorrow and it is a tribute to Michael Jackson supported by Michael’s original lead guitarist who is of course American.

    Love,
    Barry x

    Hi Barry

Have a wonderful time at concert. My younger daughter is a big Michael Jackson fan too.

I love the instrumentals on Jacob’s Ladder especially the entire horn section, it has such New Orleans. Bluesy, gospel sound and love how Bruce just takes the lead with this band, but then again, he is the Boss lol

Indeed a brilliant ballard Barry, it’s very haunting to me, as was the film it was written for.

It makes me think of this one that I love from Elton John. It’s was inspired by the death of Freddie Mercury from Queen when he passed from AIDS. Elton John wrote it with his musical partner for the AIDS Foundation, its about a man dying from AIDS and his father comes to see him, and finally comes to terms with his son’s sexuality. Just beautiful lyrics and melody…well to me anyway lol

A little on the emotional side so might not be for everyone.

    Beautiful song and lyrics CC.

If only the people of this world could be as tolerant of the words and music in life, we would live in harmony with no wars.

    Love,
