I’ve been listening to some tracks on YouTube and came upon this one. It brings back memories of a life changing trip to Australia in 2013.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love sent to me 6 geese a laying... and when they came in to land, I had to duck!! ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w_R0-5ZVC3w
With all the eggs they are laying, I could become self-sufficient and perhaps afford the good life - but I think I'll duck out of making any Christmas presents! LOL...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PXcMbR_QRZU
... and because I have ducked out of decking the halls so far ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D9qNoHNq4_M
My family is going to put the decorations up (with some cracking instructions from myelf) and although I don't mind how crackers they become, I'm eggsact with my requirement about no more livestock! LOL ...

Wishing everyone an eggsellent day.

Thank you Kayleigh, an eggsellent day to you too.
I dont know how you do it but your advent calendar is fantastic and brings festive cheer. I used to play duck, duck goose with my class after PE... They loved it !
Like you , I am going to be closely supervising the decorations. Already looking forward to the seventh day ( no pressure Kayleigh)

Thank you Miss! You have given me a festive flashback to very fond memories of my primary school days - and of my first teacher who, like you Debbie, was very kind-hearted with her words of encouragement.
I'm glad I've been crossing the 't's and dotting the 'i's in the 'Cracker of an Advent Calendar'! And its been very sweet of you to overlook my bad habit of starting some sentences with conjunctions (such as And or But) as well as the occasional pickles I get into with my punctuation. LOL
Thank you for being such a kind and caring 'sister' in this fabulous forum family! Undoubtedly, you have blessed all the many children you have taught, over the years, with happy and fond memories of their schooldays - and, just like my first teacher, I think you are ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IWH3Hmsr5fM
Although I didn't realise it at the time, I think my first teacher must have been a Sugarbabe! LOL - because she used to encourage/bribe us to be good all week, by rewarding us with sweet treats every Friday (and if she hadn't had a Sugar Daddy, how could she have afforded all that Woolworth's pick-n-mix?!! LOL).
Rehearsals for tomorrow's post have been going swimmingly and the swans are already en-pointe for tomorrow's performance - which, if they are too excited to sleep, will commence soon after midnight (or if not, curtains-up will be sometime after the cracker of dawn! LOL).
I was so wild about the geese that I didn't mind them gobbling up a large supply of my festive treats (but, perhaps, they did fleece me of too many of my Christmas clippings?). However, they have left plenty of tit-bits for the other birds to enjoy - and so, hopefully, the swans won't swan off in a huff during tomorrow's opening of the calendar! LOL).
Love to you and your family,
Kayleigh xLast edited by Kayleigh; 6 December 2019, 18:30.

Both my daughters are primary school teachers who changed careers in their late 30’s. They recount many stories of the joys the children bring as well as the challenges.
Kayleigh, your mention of Woolworths brings back happy memories of spending my pocket money on records. I didn’t have a sweet tooth then and my daddy wasn’t into sugar but it was the son of his best friend who got me my first job in the industry.
My first record purchase age 13 was this https://youtu.be/iufj20tS6wI
I think I have matured in my musical preference.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love sent to me 7 swans a swimming ...
... and although he assured me that all rehearsals had gone swimmingly, I've got all feathers crossed that their performance doesn't go down the Swanny!! LOL...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=krDUAHwpSXk
I am very impressed with how regal one of them is! ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F23CK6d3bB8
... and when they are not going off-piste, there's nothing they love more than swanning around on the lake and going with the flow of mother nature ..
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q51WsiIVZOQ
I hope everyone has a re-assuringly restful day,
Love Kayleigh
P.S. Before the swans swam away, I noticed that those swimming near the Swannery in Dorset must be very hardy! ...

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love sent to me 8 maids a milking ...
... and, Ding Dong, the maids have arrived! - but I don't know what the cows in my dairy will make of them??...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cqXG28ffG48
I'm going to need extra milk in time for the Forum Family's Christmas party (and I've herd that I need to provide extra portions of cream for the Forum's Secret Santa). So, hopefully, the new maids will be better at milking than the previous ones - who, for some reason, could never get anything out of Daisy (despite her always going commando!) ...LOL ..
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FiKI4YWJJKw
... and although they are the same breed, I've never had any trouble getting milk from my best cow, Pat! ..
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3aSvDV7pHe4
The Forum's 'Cracker of an Advent Calendar' should provide more than enough crackers & cheese for the party! - and some entertainers are due to leap out of the Calendar over the next few days.
So, I just need to set the scene with some mistletoe and wine - and although some views are from the rooftops, don't be put off if you don't like heights (because this festive scenery is Cliff free!) .....

Wishing you all a happy and amoosing day.
Love
Kayleigh

There's nothing like a Dame to get a Christmas party started ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pdO3f31WaIE
... and on the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me more than 9 ladies dancing ... and it's a line up that even Santa would be proud of ....
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CPMWaW065bY
As a Christmas bonus, my true love popped in with some legs .. & Co ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ItNmDhns4Gw
... and the icing on the Christmas cake is that I see the lake has frozen - and now I see 2 females dancing on the ice! ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0lB34qNuWHA
I hope you have enjoyed today's entertainment, behind door number 9 of the 'Cracker of an Advent Calendar'.
My true love has promised to send me 10 leaping Lords, by the time we are ready to see who is behind door number 10! LOL

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love sent to me, Time Lords a leaping ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K6foh9JHW5w
... and, unsurprisingly, the Time Lords had doctored their time machine to be in sync with Greenwich Mean Time, to ensure they were leaping into number 10 exactly on time...
...unlike Sweet Lord Sugar, who always leaps through the door in his own sweet time - but leaping into song, on time, are his loved-up sugar-babes ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3w4LxaxGfow
Oops-a-baby, the sugar-babes nearly tripped over their candy canes when Santa Baby made an untimely leap out of the fireplace ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7nZJJ8Q_eWY
... and in the nick of time, The Lord Mayor of London came leaping in with a timely presentation about his Show...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs-BQytFivs
It is almost time to call time on today's festivities at number 10 but not before ...
... Lord Noddy of Toy Town finds time to leap out of Santa's sack with the pussycat dolls ...
... prompting the Singing Lord of the Welsh Valleys to leap into action with his mistletoe & wines of ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DoulAji8UaE
Sending everyone candy carts of sugar-pie dreams and honey-bunch hugs,
Love

.. but the sugar-babes are still too lost without their Sugar Daddy! - perhaps Sweet Lord Sugar heard whisperings of a sweeter offer behind door number 'legs 11' or even number 12?? ... to be continued ...Last edited by Kayleigh; 9 December 2019, 23:36.

Hi Kayleigh,
I’m more interested in who will be at no.10 on Friday but enough of politics. Whoever it is will be lording it up or maybe even ladying to be politically fair. I look forward to your next musical post.

On the 11th day of Christmas my true love sent to me, 11 pipers piping ... calm Christmas music with bells on ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=05CcdX2HC6A
... whilst pipes, overseas, were calling for some much needed peace ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TwyFTRGiIUU
Meanwhile, a bagpiped dream of a stocking filler ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M0XYgZKBhUQ
... cleared the pipes, in time for the Stewart clan's Silent Night at Stirling Castle ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F-H1tiZ-23Q
But silence has been interupted by a question in the pipeline - why do we like to serve Christmas puds too piping hot??? ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gy0HGvCa978
... because it's the only time of year when Supermarkets sell plenty of brandy butter!
But where is Sweet Lord Sugar? ...
... well, the latest sound waves (from my seven swans a swimming) are that the sugar-babes have arranged a rather sweet surprise for their Sugar Daddy ..
... on the riverbank, where the Lords of Dance (and their ladies-in-waiting) are ready to tap out a merry riverdance for him ...

Sending everyone warm wishes for a peaceful day,

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love sent to me 12 drummers, drumming along with half a dozen seasonal family favourites.
Drum-roll please ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zP5R9YXkk-w
Roll-up, roll-up - more than enough breakfast is being drummed up ....
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EFgdhZGLJrY
After breakfast, I must drum up enough enthusiasm to do some Christmas shopping - and I've enough funds in my Christmas kitty to buy gifts 'from the Kitty'...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T-Gc84R81PQ
With all my buddies to buy for, my Christmas gift list has snowballed enough already - but, unelfishly, I mustn't forget about my elf...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KfZqqO1ZCvs
On the 12th day of this forum's 'Cracker of an Advent Calendar', I think I have already included more tinsel than turkeys? ...
... and you probably think Kayleigh is crackers enough already! ...
... but to make sure my Christmas day turkey has big enough drumsticks and enough room for all the stuffing, I have ordered one ahead of time ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aFgLrWiNHFc
... and the last link, in this Christmas post, is to a winter wonderland - where Santa has drummed up more than enough seasonal work for dozens of his elves ...
http://https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xvHQO9LT6ZI
Sending lots of love & very best wishes to everyone in this fabulous forum family (and please take care, especially if you are going out and about in the wintery weather this season).
Love Kayleigh x
