    Hello Dina and Barry,

My fussy flatmate Lady Maggie usually insists on listening to Van rather than Rod, although I like them both evenly.

And on days like today, I am Sirtain that a gentle musical prod from Stewart (with his modest microphone) could produce a good Evensong - and I thought that Maggie may agree (especially if Rod's recent rendition is more composed and regal) ....

However on days like this, Maggie is Sirtain that Morrison (with his substantial saxophone) could make hotrod Stewart's overproduced overtures vanish (especially if Van's heavenly music is more evangelical to gently coast along with) ....

    Love to everyone,

    Hi Ellie,

I confess to winning a medal for our Cha Cha in the 90’s. It was through dancing that I met my wife and although we did ballroom we also attended many “disco” events where we were often first on the dance floor to encourage others to join us. Sadly now all I can do is watch others enjoying themselves and of course Strictly.

I expect you will be watching the dance off tonight. I don’t watch it because it makes me sad but as soon as it’s finished I check the result online.

    Love,
    Barry
Iím going to do this even if it kills me!

    Loved the music from yesterday.

Although I am a Rod Stewart fan I prefer Van's version. It's on my chill out playlist.
How did you know that a large g and t with ice and a slice was my favourite tipple Kayleigh?
( best enjoyed in the sun with good music )

    Hi Sheila,

I didn't realise that the Strictly show on Sundays isn't live. It makes sense that it is pre-recorded though because I expect all the dancers are more than ready to spend their Sunday evenings relaxing!

I'm looking forward to the performance by Westlife during tonight's results show.

This is one of my favourite Westlife songs and I would like to dedicate it to you and everyone in this forum family who very kindly and thoughtfully offer words of support and advice - many thanks everyone! ....

    Hi Debbie,

I guessed that, like me, you might drink tonic water for its medicinal properties - and I find that a measure or 2 of gin or vodka (as an alternative to a spoonful of sugar) helps the medicine go down in the most delightfull way! LOL

The slice is good for a healthy boost vitamin C and, thankfully (unlike Gloria LOL), the barmaid, at my local, always remembers to take the pips out!

    Cheers!

Love and best wishes to you and your family,
    Kayleigh x

Thatís a lovely song to drift off to sleep to, Kayleigh.

This song is another of my favourites. I first heard it on Radio Luxembourg and immediately loved it.
