    Introduce myself

Hi I'm new to this so you will have to excuse me lol. My mam has seen an Elderly care specialist who has high suspicions she has MND. It needs to be confirmed by the Neurologist, which she cancelled the Appt for. She is so scared that she is reluctant to get any kind of help. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Marcia and welcome to the forum,

Never heard of any one doing that, normally we can't get a appointment early enough.

What makes the care person suspect Mnd ?

I have known of people who live in total denial even when they have lived with it for a few years.

It would be good to know what she has and to get a diagnosis, what ever it is because some things are treatable or if it turns out to be mnd it makes filling out forms and getting things to help her easier.

    Best wishes, Terry
