    Kent Support

Can anyone tell me if there is a support group in Kent. I have just relocated to Maidstone from Thailand and looking for likeminded people.
    Thanks Jerry

    Hi Jerry,

There are a few branches in Kent and if you go to MNDA home page and type branches into the search section you will find the location and contact details. I’m pleased you wish to join a group as you will feel comfortable with like minded people and my experience is that they offer much needed support and advice. I’m going to my group meeting tomorrow and looking forward to catching up with friends.

    Best wishes,
    Barry

Hope the move wasn't too traumatic for you Jerry!

Hi Ellie, coming over was fine with Qatar airlines until you get to Heathrow then its hunt the wheelchair. I haven't yet made any life decisions regarding a PEG and the other things as getting a GP has taken a while. I am still quite reluctant to do so. I'm not sure about staying in the uk as its not practical for my wife to also stay here so she's going home next week. I may go back to Thailand as I miss my granddaughter and home etc. and I am in a happier place in my mind. My wife will see about medical facilities over there before we make any big decisions. The difference I have found is everything takes so long in the uk whereas over there its very quick. I'm keeping the symptoms at bay right now with oil, coconut oil, magnesium and vitamins so we'll see what happens. Thanks so much for your concern x

Guys, I still haven't found any support group in the Maidstone area. I'm at the doctors next week so maybe he may know.
    Thanks x

Jerry, the Mid Kent branch meet in Rochester - I don't know if it's viable for you to travel there?

There's a Support meeting this Saturday, 26th May @3pm, if that's of any use to you?

    Love Ellie.

In case you haven't seen the Mid Kent Branch website:

    http://www.midkentmnd.org.uk/

And their meeting place is The Wisdom Wellbeing & Therapy Centre, High Bank, Rochester
