    Hi Marigold,
That must have come as a shock...hope you're ok and not on your own. Having read the posts I can see why it is the best idea to have it done early but it's probably not something we want to think about.

I have got a clinic visit next week so am going to try to be prepared for THAT conversation !

    Love Debbie

      Not on own and ok!
Did have an emotional moment with SALT lady though!
Thought I was up together emotionally at the moment. Obviously not!
I hate the way it catches you out...
Still, over that hump now. Just got to tell husband tonight!!!

Oh marigold, hope you don't have to wait too long. Things do get to us as it's something else to accept. I usually have bit of a melt down and a swear, then pull myself together to tackle it. I go in tomorrow to get mine done on Thursday.... And Thanks Helen xx

All done people. So glad it's over! This hospital is not equipped for disabled people though. Dignity completely gone. Wasn't impressed he wouldn't sedate me due to my lung capacity.

So glad it went well Pink . It's not very impressive that a hospital is not geared up for disabled people though, and also that you weren't sedated !

Hope you are soon back at home ,safe and sound.

                            Get well soon

SOOO happy the feeding tube is in Pink.

Sad to think that a hospital couldn't afford you proper dignity

Sedation depresses respiratory function, so they erred on the side of caution - you would not want breathing issues midway through the procedure!

Onwards & upwards now - concentrate on recovery.

                                Big hugs,

                                Love Ellie.
