We've been waiting a week now for the community nursing staff to get their act together but we're still waiting for suction for Michael. I used to train DN's and Carers in using both the Laerdal and Devilbiss Vacuaide and always found the Laerdal to be far superior but unfortunately they cost twice as much so Oxfordshire won't provide them any more. If we don't hear from the DN's tomorrow I may have to buy one.What experiences have people had with them?
Sorry to hear of delay in getting a vital bit of equipment, Julip;
They risk him taking a hospital bed and no one wants that. Try to put that to them and also contact Michael's Mnd team.
