Hi Dolcy and sadly welcome, I’m the Mum of a 34 yr old young Mum who was diagnosed last Sept, I have still not come to terms with this and expect to wake up from this nightmare, it is normal for your husband to feel this way and will do for quite a while yet, wishing all the best.

    Hi Dolcy and welcome,

I am so sorry for your husband's diagnosis and hope you have support from people around you . The forum is a great place for friendship and advice from people who live with the condition or care for those that do.

I guess everyone reacts to the diagnosis in different ways and denial is a way of coping with shock. It must be hard for you however. I was initially calm when I was told and it hit me weeks later. Things have calmed down now and I try to enjoy each day and adapt.

    Take Care of yourself,
    Love Debbie x
