    Hi Twinkle;

    Thanks for the update and it's good that his bloods are improving. Some of his bloated stomach could be down to having such high a pressure Bipap machine.

    Do you know what his blood levels are now?

    Hugs, Terry

    Twinkle, no way should hubby be swallowing air - no wonder his stomach is distended

    It sounds as if the IPAP is too high - the setting must be comfortable for him, otherwise being on BiPAP defeats its purpose. Question the Dr over why hubby is swallowing air. 20 is too high.

    It's just wrong that he is being sedated because the BiPAP is either on the wrong setting or it's not needed

    I hope he can get comfortable.

    Thinking of you at this difficult time.

    Big hug,

    Love Ellie.

    Hi Twinkle,

    I've been thinking about you & hubby a lot.

    I can see you are struggling, maybe because you're not being told what's going on??

    I know I said it before, but if he is well enough to be moved to a hospice, you'll get lots of support from all its staff, and hubby will get excellent care.

    I am sorry for poking my nose in and obvs I don't know how poorly he is, but I do know you're somewhat floundering with how things are.

    Love Ellie.

    I feel so much love for all your messages of help and advice for my darling when he was in hospital. I didn't have time to add that my husband had a perforation in his lower bowel which was leaking feaces. We didn't know until 2 days before he passed. To fellow MND members on here, please keep a check on your bowels.

    Poor Pete, Twinkle;

    Constipation probably caused the bowl to perforate.

    Hugs Terry
