    Thanks for the update, Twinkle,

Glad to hear that you are getting help. Bad that he has fallen twice.

It's good that they have shared emotions as it will help all of you.

    Love Terry

    Hi twinkle,

Depression is quite common with a debilitating disease and I find citalopram (antidepressant) helps me become less irritable. It must be a father and daughter thing because when I told my daughter we both had a hug and a sob.

It sounds like the health care in your area is well organised. Good luck with the consultant appointment.

    Best wishes,
    Barry
Iím going to do this even if it kills me!

    Thanks Terry and Barry. XX

Yes, the health care in my area is excellent and nice natured staff too, one even put a smile on hubby's face. I guess it's because it's someone different other than seeing my mug day after day haha

    Hi all,

My husband was diagonsed today with MND, Bulbar Onset/ALS
We kind of knew it was coming so no great shock or tears.

Hubby is going on a trail drug in 4 weeks time so can't start the Riluzole until he's been on the new drug for 2 weeks. I've not got a clue what it's called

So sorry for your husband's diagnosis Twinkle,

Even when it is suspected it's still a shock to have it confirmed. I really hope you have support around you.

    Look after yourself too
    Love Debbie x

Only just read your message Twinkle. Sorry about the confirmation of MND but as you say you were expecting it. It still drives it home though so don't be too surprised or too worried about the odd melt down. We all get them now and again. Lynne.

    Hi Twinkle,

I am sure your husband is on the MIROCALS drug trial.

    Here's some info on it:

    https://www.mndassociation.org/wp-co...A-MIROCALS.pdf

There are other members on the trial - put Mirocals into the search box to find relevant posts.

    Wishing him all tht best.

    Love Ellie.
