    Hello to you all.

    I have read many of your pearls of wisdom in reply to numerous questions posted within this site. I therefore respectfully request if anyone has a solution for the removal of catarrh within the throat ?. Due to the inability to cough, temporary solutions have been provided via cough medicines and throat lozenges. I thank you for taking the time to read my request. Juliette.

    Hi Juliette and welcome to the forum;

    I'm not really the person to ask but I believe some fruit juices like pineapple can help break it down.

    I do wonder if you would benefit from a cough assist machine or/and a bag pump to force more air into your lungs so that maybe you would be able to force things out a little better.

    As TIANDB says, real original Coke is great for clearing tubes.

    Hi Juliette and welcome to the Forum.

    If your cough is weak, a Cough Assist machine is great for getting rid of mucus.

    Meds such as Carbocisteine & Guaifenesin, pineapple & papaya juice juice and drinking lots of water all help to thin the mucus, but, if you can't cough it up, you can't get rid of it...

    I don't know where you live - can you get a Cough Assist machine?

    Love Ellie.
