Thanks so much for your kind and supportive messages. Chris was a lover of life and would have liked nothing more than to stay and enjoy but held his sense of humour throughout. I hope you find the poem he wrote funny..... it may be deleted due to the language but it summed up his approach to his diagnosis !

    OH ****!
Oh ****, What a ****, MND Imagine that?
Laugh a minute Legs are crap Brain’s fatigued Need a nap!
Arm’s shaky Finger’s weak Need a carer To take a leak.
Mask on face Up my nose Where this ends God only knows!
    Talk of dying
Near the end Seems like death’s My real friend.
Laff a minute Gotta go Voice don’t work End of show.
NB - Written in humour, not bitterness by Chris

    Hilary:
As others have said your story is so moving. So moving.
    Filled with love, courage, compassion..

It is such a cruel and 'unfair' illness to take good, productive, loving people.

The world is full of cruel, violent, psychopathic people who have inflicted suffering on others. who are granted long lives.

There is no sense to the utter cruelty of this thing.

My thought are with you on your journey of loss and sadness.

    Much Love.

    Charles

Hilary. Thanks so much for sharing. I like you take great strength from reading what others say. It sounds like you were such a great break, even during the toughest times. I hope you manage to find your husband's great strength, during this next phase for you. X
