Thank you everyone for your comments and condolences.

Has been an interesting week. In many respects, easier than I imagined it would be, and yet tough. I have moments where life feels normal, then I see something I want to show Ezri, and remember I can't. Then sadness pounces on top of me.

We've been going through her things this week, she was a bit of a horder and there were a lot of boxes to sort through. So much to do.

Hanging in there, one day at a time.

Pen, remember one thing she is now no longer in pain and as much as you will miss her, Walk Tall knowing you did all you could, Lost my wonderful wife two years ago and being her full time carer I do know the complex of grief, do not waste time on “if only” or regrets. As I did but after professional counselling at my local hospice I’ve come out of the dark and am moving on with her as she would wish.
    That is my greatest motivation.
Love you for sharing as I did, it helped so much.
    Peter ( lost soul) xx
