Powered wheelchairs

Hi Sheila

I was concerned about being assessed using a powerchair but have now realised there is really nothing to worry about. It sounds like someone from wheelchair services shows us how to use the chair and then we get to try it out and ask any questions while that person is there.

Please try not to worry. As Terry has said, wheelchair services is there to help us and I think it's good that they want to make sure we can use their wheelchairs comfortably and safely.

Hi Sheila, please don't worry about the test. I found it useful to be able to ask questions and for advice whilst actually using the chair outside.

Hi Sheila,

Please dont worry about getting a powerchair because it will really increase your independence. Sorry if we have put you off about getting one and I was really only joking about the L plates. The wheelchair services are there to help us and they will show you how to work it and answer any questions. They will come back if you need any adjustments.
