Attended by over 20 MND patients and their caregivers, the product demonstration was followed by a Q&A session with helpful customer feedback. Prize4Life, the non-profit organization dedicated to ALS research, raised a record 555,000NIS at their eighth annual race for a cure event. EyeControl Co-founder and ALS patient, Shay Rishoni (1966-2018), served as former president of Prize4Life; a portion of company profits fund the organization and the fight against ALS.
EyeControl was honored to be among 35 companies shortlisted from 270, in the Financial Times/International Finance Corporation Transformational Business Awards, a global program highlighting innovative, long-term private-sector solutions to major development challenges, with a special category on harnessing technology for people with disabilities.
EyeControl’s co-founders, Or Retzkin, CEO and Itai Kornberg, CTO travelled to the USA in preparation for upcoming ICU clinical trials of the device, which will commence at Emory University Hospital the second half of 2019. The R&D team worked hard developing a version of the EyeControl designed specifically for the unique needs of the ICU environment. We aspire to restore communication to everyone that cannot speak on their own behalf.
