Ha ha ha Kayleigh, Im sure that our old charmer, Doug, will be charmed by Norah! I wonder if she would be willing to give up her favourite cup of tea for a glass of his finest burgundy?

    Hi Dina,

I don't think she would expect Doug to share his finest wine with her.

She probably wouldn't be very fussy - and its highly likely that any vintage of the 'Last of the Summer Wine' would be very much her cup of tea! LOL

I don't know if any vintages of 'Last of the Summer Wine' would be Doug's cup of tea though? LOL But if he says no, my reply would be 'wine-not?' LOL

    Hugs

    Hats off to you Doug!

Somehow, I can't envisage you wearing a 'Compo style' bobble hat Doug! (and anyway, I didn't think that 'The Milk Tray Man' ever wears hats? LOL).

But if you did, with your sense of style and panashe, I could imagine you wearing a Top Hat - just like the tap-dancing gentleman in one of my favourite classic movies ....

Or, a perhaps a Trilby? - just like the very dashing and debonair ....

P.S. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? - No - its our Doug, riding on a train!! .. LOL ...

I have included this song as 1 minute and 12 seconds in, it describes perfectly what happened to me when we left the restaurant last night. Having enjoyed a wonderful meal we went to meet our taxi at the end of the park by the river Cam. It had been blowing a gale all day and even though I was holding tightly to my walker a gust blew me over. Nothing broken fortunately but a bruised hip and elbow. It certainly knocks your confidence so please be careful everyone now that we are in the grips of autumn.

    Love,
    Barry
Im going to do this even if it kills me!

    Dear Barry,

I am glad you enjoyed your evening at the Restaurant but sorry to hear you had a fall afterwards. I hope you feel much better soon.

Take care and hopefully you can have a restful day tomorrow (and if you do need to go outside, please take extra care and I hope it's not so windy!).

Sending you lots of Get Well Soon Wishes and hugs,

    Love,
    Kayleigh x

    P.S ....

    - Why did the girl go outside with her purse open?
She was hoping that there would be some change in the weather! LOL

    - How can you wrap up a cloud?
    Use a rainbow. LOL

    - What is the weather called when it's raining chickens and ducks?
    Fowl! LOL

    - What did the twin raindrops say to another raindrop?
Twos company, threes a cloud! LOL

(Hopefully, my jokes raised a chuckle or two - rather than putting a damper on your recovery!!!)

    Good morning Dina.

I know it's very early days, but I hope things are going as well as possible with your new carers - assuming you did make it home....

    Hi Ellie,

Apologies for not saying I was home - I was wiped out. Only been out of bed for 2 hours until today and slept most of the time.

Carers are very good but tiring having to explain everything.

Just home from hospital appointment- tired and cold .
