    Silverstone

    Hi,

One of us was due to go to the F1 racing at Silverstone this weekend and I was wondering how they got on.

I went there about a year after I was diagnosed but the weather was awful.

It wasn't me Terry - but just thought I'd say hi to you and everyone on the forum today... I hope everyone is bearing up OK.

Such a shame you forgot to take the good weather with you to Silverstone that time Terry - you always bring a wonderful ray of sunshine to the forum though!

    Love Kayleigh xx

P.S I can't comment on the motor racing -but I thought it was very exciting to watch England beat the Kiwi's at cricket yesterday!

That was KJen Terry who bought tickets for her husband.

She last logged on 2 weeks ago but I hope they'd a great day if they went.

        Hi Kayleigh and Ellie,,,

I'd rather watch paint drying than cricket. Enjoy the bike race in France, not always exiting like cricket but at least the back ground changes.

Thanks for that, Ellie, it looked a great race.

I had to post something to make sure that the forum is working.

You mean you didn't watch that very exciting tennis match???

Wrong man won unfortunately but it was one epic match.

Yep, I watched some of that as well as F1, the bike race and going to the gym and eating there.

Federer had so many chances, shame he didn't win.

              Hi Terry,Ellie and Kayleigh,

I was trying to watch both the tennis and the cricket by flicking between the channels.

So exciting! I cant believe Federra didn't win or that England did but both were terrific matches. Definitely missing tennis today.

              Love Debbie x

What an active day you had Terry!

I managed to propel my chair about 45m between the patio and the TV a few times, food pump attached

Spent most of today outside making friends with a butterfly who decided he liked my arm

                Bliss!

..... and watching paint dry doesn't take so long! Lol

I didn't say I watched the whole cricket match Terry - just the last bit when England won!

Wimbledon seems to go very quickly and I enjoyed watching the tennis.

Glad that 'Pointless' is back on weekdays though! .... but looks like they are repeats ... grrrr! - Never mind, I might be able to answer more of the questions, watching it the second time around! Lol

                      Hi Ellie,

Apparently, if you wear brightly coloured clothes and/or wear sweet-smelling floral perfume then butterflies will be attracted to you - but I expect your very sweet nature would have been enough to attact that butterfly to you anyway Ellie!

Do you know what type of butterfly it was (apart from it being a boy! - just wondering, how can you tell if it is male? .... I expect it might take a very powerful magnifying glass to find out! Lol) ?

And talking of butterflies, here are some fun 'facts' .....

Q: Who is the King of all insects?

                      A: The 'Monarch', of course!

Q: Has anyone ever seen a butterfly cry?

A: No, but some people have seen a moth bawl!

.... and only one more fun 'fact', I promise! ....

Q: What do you get if you eat caterpillars?

A: Lots of butterflies in your stomach!

I hope you and your family are having a lovely evening (despite my rather corny jokes! )

                      Love Kayleigh xx

Thanks for my daily dose of humour Kayleigh. Yes a great weekend of sport and I enjoyed the cricket (different game Terry from the 4 day competitions) the best F1 race this year and the tennis.

Perfect timing since I am confined to my chair.

I don't like the sound of this, something you're not telling us?

                          Hope not, love Terry

                            Hi Barry,

Glad if my silly style of humour cheered you up - but sorry to hear that you are confined to your chair.

Please take clucky-mother-hen Kayleigh's advice to rest, relax and take things easy!

I really do hope you are ok Barry.
