That sounds like a good idea DVD.
The reason Trevor couldn't write with anything is that he couldn't hold any sort of pen (or anything else)... not even the extra thick or adapted ones. He had no grip at all. Even in that situation and despite finger spasm and curl he would have been able to "write" with his finger I think.

Hi Nettie B .. Lovely to see you are still on the forum .. Hope you are well and looking after yourself ..I am not sure how long it has been out .. I have a similar one but I liked this one .. I posted this thread mainly for NEW people coming onto the forum enquiring about communication particularly for the many folk who are not into or cannot type on tablets or iPads and then they shy away from them. We got to remember not everyone is into technology.
When I fist joined I was very grateful for help and tips on communication which is devastating for anyone when their speech is gone due to bulbar MND so i hope this thread will be of help to someone on the forum who is looking for some means of communication that dosent require typing on a tablet or iPad .

There are lots of art apps for tablets that would probably work equally well. Just use a finger to write on screen.

Hi all .. for anyone new looking an aid for communication that is not good at typing on tablets I just came across an app called " Simple R Whiteboard " you can write on the screen with your finger ..can be downloaded free to your phone or tablet from Playstore ..
