Joystick for ipad

Does anyone have any experience of using a joystick for an iPad . I am struggling to use the touchscreen now as my right arm is failing . I still want to be able to read and play games on my iPad so I wondered if anyone have used the wireless joystick. For this. I don't want to lose the ability to communicate online and I know equipment services take a long time so I'm thinking I might have to buy myself something

Hi Wendy,

Bear in mind the joystick is just an alternative mouse and you still need an "Enter" key, be that a separate switch (big button) connected to the joystick or using a button on the base of the joystick, or can you still use the keyboard enter key? Buttons on joysticks are generally more difficult to press than switches, which can be pressed by any part of your body.

The it stick looks good, chris is getting in touch with environmental services to see if they can provide but at least I have an option now

Is Environmental Services the same as Assistive Technology Wendy?

Hopefully they'll bring you a few to try. Some are quite bulky and I remember I couldn't even get my hand up on it...

Yes it's the same thing different names, they can be quite slow though. So it's nice to have a back up option
