How does voice banking work ?

Hi all had laptop delivered today and said the 50 sentences. I feel as though it was a little too easy. Is there more or is that it. I really wanna bank a few swear words as my friends will need them in the future as they will always take the [email protected]ยฃS out of me ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ thanks if anyone has any info

50 sentences doesn't sound like a lot. Which banking service are you using Wayne?

The synthetic voice created will allow you to say anything you want. I used SpeakUnique and that needed 300 sentences and Modeltalker suggested 1600.

Generally the more sentences you can record the better the end result.

            Hi
My speech therapist recommended Speak Unique but my speech is so bad that I didnโ€™t like my repaired voice and have asked for it to be reset. Now Iโ€™m disappointed that Speak Unique doesnโ€™t let you record your own phrases. I continue to work full time and need a voice app that can take and store personal phrases like business language (Iโ€™m not fussed about my own voice as itโ€™s shot to pieces).Do you know of any suitable apps as Iโ€™m at a loss as to which one is best and it is much needed. Thanks

Hi Rachel. I've not tried many but I like Speech Assistant. It doesn't allow you to record phrases via the microphone, you have to type them in. l also have the Speak Unique app with my repaired voice, but as I've said elsewhere, I find it less user-friendly.

I use Speak Unique and am really happy with it. You record the first 50 stock phrases then you could chose one of four extracts from a novel for the rest. I chose "Around the world in 80 days". It took me a couple of days. I'm really pleased with the result. You do have to type in American spellings of words though. 'Favorite' rather than 'favourite' to get the right pronunciation. I've put in my own phrases for work and as I've been working at home and still have a reasonable voice the rest of my team haven't noticed yet. I use it when my voice gets tired at the end of the day. It takes a bit of getting used to but the more you use it, the better you get with it.
Diagnosed November 2019 with right foot drop. Now impacting left foot and getting weaker hands. Getting a bit unsteady on my feet and losing my voice. Determined to keep on living.
