Controlling android mobile phone with voice

As my arms and hands are getting worse I'm finding it increasingly challenging to fumble with my mobile phone.

What is the best way of voice enabling it? The menu that should take me to stuff that help are the disability seems to be big on reading out to me what the commands are on the screen but damn all use in getting me to e.g. open a particular application that takes me to my email – of course have I two of those which I suppose is yet another complication.

Whilst I am on a technical rant using my voice dictation and the occasional knuckle hit on the keyboard to sort out "Miss dictation is", of course I have my telephone password protected and have been playing with the face recognition- this works about one time in 5.

Are there any other suggestions for the panel opening a phone when your hands don't work?
    Warmly

    Andy

I know it's expensive but a smart watch has Siri. I let you have mine when I've left the building. Actually it may be sooner because Siri really is chocolate teapot for me. x
Bulbar started Jan 2020. Mute and 100% tube fed but mobile and undefeated. Stay Strong 🤗😘🤗😁xx

Andy, I too have dropped my phone many times trying to open it by finger print, I also have face recognition activated, and like you, works sometimes.
I get a lot of notifications from family and friends and kind of rely on my phone for some sort of sanity.
I am interested in the replies you get.

Good afternoon and thank you both

And thank you for your information.

Matthew – as a dyed in the wool techie I do have a watch that connects to my phone by Bluetooth but that is as much of a fumble as is my phone.

I'm now wondering off to another forum where they might have some advice for me and I'll come back if they do
        Warmly

Good Afternoon – no problem both – I'm slowly coming to terms with using voice on my phone although I can still poke with vaguely useful fingers at the moment
