Doug Carpenter oh what a nuisance, maybe a surge. I hope that the hoist company comes to you quickly. How will you manage until then? Xx
ALS diagnosed November 2017, limb onset. For the 4 yrs previously I was losing my balance.

I'm staying positive and taking each day as it comes.

Hate to say this but I hope there isn't a third failure...if it comes in threes🤔😮xx

Doug Carpenter If the emergency stop button is pressed in, the hoist battery can't charge, just in case that's the issue, otherwise, hope you get a replacement today. xx
Diagnosed 03/2007. Sporadic Definite ALS/MND Spinal (hand) Onset.
Eye gaze user - No functional limbs - No speech - Feeding tube - Overnight NIV.

          Thanks Lynne, Linda and Ellie.

Brand new replacement hoist delivered in under four hours.

New microwave ordered online from John Lewis.

          Yes, I wondered about threes!

          Fingers crossed if they could.

Like-for-like swap and I hope it's set up to suit your height? Or, if a different brand, hope your sling is compatible.

                Have fun xx

                  Thanks Matthew

Elllie - identical model (Birdie compact) with slightly improved hooks. It's a full body hoist. Sling should be fine, will know in two hours.
