If you have banked your voice will you please share what system you used and what you like and dislike about it.

    Many thanks.

richard Banked via Acapella and using Predictable. The banking process was fine. Predictable is fine too (free via my SALT) but it is cluttered up with stock phrases you’ll never need. (I’ve written notes about how to modify these on my website under Banking My Voice).

The issue now is that my arms and hands are so weak that I can no longer handle an iPad, and Predictable isn’t too great on a phone. So transitioning to eye gaze, which is not easy to use. I have huge admiration for Ellie and all other eye gaze users.

richard I banked my voice with Acapella but did not like the voice so I then used SpeakUnique's voice repair and that has been much better. SpeakUnique have been helpful in adjusting the sound of my new voice slightly too. It was easy to download and the app appears easy to use. It was funded by MNDA so I am very grateful for that. I am still playing around with the app and have not yet used it in a conversation so cannot comment on that.
Bulbar onset diagnosed Nov 21. No speech, feeding tube, limbs getting weaker but still just about mobile.

I banked using Acapella & have the Predictable App on my phone....supported by SALT and funded by MNDA...very much appreciated. The voice I would describe as very similar sounding to mine however I'm a northerner really so bath....grass comes out as grarse...barth...southern style🙄 annoying.

Still not using it fully as have some limited voice left...however getting to the point when I will need to use so practice needed. My neurologist advised getting an iPad....which I haven't yet but it's on my to do list.

I had to get a new iPad as not enough storage old one for predictable app.Got that now so just practicing the basics as some live left
My hands are weaker so hope they don’t make using the app impossible.Eye gaze seems a lot more difficult according to forum members.
            Best wishes

LindaB I am a southerner and my SpeakUnique voice seems to use a northern accent for some words! However, there is a pronunciation exception options so I can type and save 'barth' for 'bath' which I find really useful.

I have my downloaded voice on both my iPhone and iPad.

Hope maybe SpeakUnique would have been better for me however I've got predictable so will have to play around with that😏

I'm a mute Southener living up North. My cares are always surprised when they find out. I think pronunciation is the least of things. 🤔😁😊🤗xx
Bulbar started Jan 2020. Mute and 100% tube fed but mobile and undefeated. Stay Strong 🤗😘🤗😁xx

I did the same and use it on my phone as I can no longer hold my iPad due to weakness in both arms and hands

Used Acapella and Predictable via an iPad loaned to me by MNDA. It was pretty laborious banking my voice but happy with it. Find Predictable not that good at predicting so quicker and less frustrating to type mostly even with my limited skills. Also have Speech Unique on iPad and phone but not as good.

I’ve had major trouble with Predictable so couldn’t use it but then got Speak Unique. Funnily though after getting my sister to do Speak Unique for me I downloaded then updated Predictable and re-downloaded my banked voice, now I can use either both my iPad and my iPhone. I prefer my own voice and Predictable had some strong points but Speak Unique is a good platform and easier to use. Xx
ALS diagnosed November 2017, limb onset. For the 4 yrs previously I was losing my balance.

I'm staying positive and taking each day as it comes.

                          Hi folks.

Please don’t think that Voice Banking is the be all and end all in being able to communicate - if it’s too onerous to record the required phrase, if you're unhappy with your results or you simply don’t want to do voice banking, there are stock voices on the app/program, a relative or friend could record for you, or you can even buy in voices.

If voice banking works for you, great, if it doesn't, don't despair...

I sometime confuse people by changing to a different stock voice, just because I can 🤭 xx
