    Expiratory muscle strength trainers

    Hi Everyone,

Lung function recommended my mum use a handheld exerciser for her breathing. It's called an EMST 150 expiratory muscle strength trainer. We bought it from the US last year for $54.99 plus postage. It took so long to arrive that they sent another one, but both turned up months too late to be of use. So we have two here. Would anyone like them? free of course, and I'm happy to pay for postage. I offered them to the clinic but they can't take them and it seems such a shame they are in the cupboard. Best wishes, Deborah

The EMST150 Expiratory Muscle Strength Trainer is clinically proven to strengthen muscles to improve breathing, cough, swallowing, and speech.

      HI Deborah

I will check with Thomas to see if he wants one, or thinks it is too late to bother.

We are having the same issue with pillows for the bed, bought quite a few. None are helping for longer than a few weeks.

Damn, that will teach me to log in more often. My respiratory strength has declined 19% already. Maybe I will look at buying one! I will wait to hear if it works, my neurologist says we are no longer able to improve things that have reduced in function,. Maybe, it would remove any further decline?
Mum died with MND in 1979 – My sister and I have a wonky gene, probably inherited from mum. Reckon my MND started sometime in 2018.
