Opera Profiling Bed Available

I've got an Opera Classic Low Profiling Bed available - in very good condition.

I know most people with MND will get a similar bed provided by the NHS. But in case anyone is having difficulties getting one - I thought I'd offer it here. It's a bit less institutional-looking than the ones you get from the NHS but has all the features.

I could probably deliver it someone around the London area.

Yes - it goes low to the floor - but it goes up to a reasonable height for carers. The Height Range (floor to top of mattress platform) is 220-620mm. So with a mattress you're up to about 800mm.

I think this might be slightly lower than the officially required "nursing height" in some settings - but in practice we never had any issues and never had any complaints from a range of carers. Nobody ever commented on the height. Also - when OT provided a pressure relieving air mattress they were happy to put it on this bed.

The low to the floor function is potentially useful for people who are mobile. Then if someone has fallen - it may be possible to sort of shuffle onto the bed from the floor and get raised up.
