    CPap parts etc

Morning all. So I am having trouble with getting a good seal on my NIV mask. I found this charity hope2sleep that is geared around sleep apnea. However the equipment etc is basically CPap related.

The sell lots of things including dry mouth gels, xmelts, mask liners etc. The clinnel mask wipes are a bargain at £1.66 for 72.

I've purchased a tube holder that basically hold the tubing up so that if you turn/move in bed, it doesn't cause mask to move. Picture is below.
Also a cover for the tube that helps prevent water accumulating in the mask.

    Here is the link.https://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/checkou...n/?oid=IN40287

I will update once I've tested the items. Screenshot_20220725-114013_Samsung Internet.jpg

You might have poor Tom driven mad in trying to find a good position for the tube so the condensation drains back down 😬😏

A heated hose works well if the cover doesn't sort your problem, which 'should' be provided to you. xx

        Re condensation

Could your humidifier be running too warm?

Doug Carpenter I've got it on number 2 now. It was on number 4.

I must be weird (no need to all agree 😏) I need the humidifier on 5, or my mouth gets too dry.

I put the NIV machine on the floor so any condensation drains back into the water chamber.

The hose is loosely attached to the side of the bed using cable ties, stopping the hose from looping and catching moisture, but allowing the hose to move and be moved. xx

Ellie i might try that because after about 3hrs my throat stings. I also read that the machine needs to be below head level. So im following suit. Cheers Ellie 🍻 🥂 🍻 x
