Hi all


As I said in my last post was going to phone pip dept this week as I was told that it would be 3 weeks before I heard anything. 3 weeks up tomorrow and today I was told that the payment had been back dated and the first payment would be in Roberts account tomorrow .


Hurray hurray hurray.

Just to say if anyone is having problems with pip. Photocopy letters from your neurologist and keep on pushing for the ds1500. I got Roberts from his doctor and if I had not had success then would have phoned his consultant. I accompanied the form with a letter confirming his diagnosis and I spent a lot of time on the phone chasing it up.

It is so unfair that we have to spend so much time trying to get help financially. Valuable time time we don't have a lot of.

So next it's the car. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Not sure where to start.

I am just waiting on dads pip to be sorted and I have sent ds1500 off so I am hoping dads is as quick as roberts when did you apply for pip dad did his in feb and then we are looking into mobility car I am off to event next Saturday in Manchester that has different mobility vehicles at event city Manchester, so soon as its sorted i know what car to choose going to take dads wheel chair to try in the boot, did Robert recieve the higher rate pip ?

Great to get the money in your hands. The right car or WAV. If Robert is looking at getting a power wheel chair then a WAV would probably be the right choice. If his under 65 then he should get a mobility payment and this could be used to finance one. Alternatively you can buy a second had one which is what I have done.
