    No longer eligible for CHC

    My husband was diagnosed 7 years ago. He was approved for CHC 4 years ago and has been living in a care home since that time. Now CHC have reviewed his case and say that he is no longer eligible. I do not understand or agree. His illness has progressed to the point where he can no longer move anything but his eyes and can not speak. I have not been given any guidance with regard to what happens next. Please could anyone advise me as to what I should do at this point?

    Hello wsbarker,

    There is no reason why your husband should have CHC revoked. The person doing the reassessment may not be fully aware of the rules and you are entitled to challenge the decision. I would hope that the MNDA will help you fight this judgement and I attach a link to a website that explains what to do in your case. It is a very detailed and lengthy read but with something this serious I think it is worth studying.

    Good luck,

    I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

      Hi wsbarker;

      Like Barry, I can't see any reason for this. Did they explain why?

      I would ring and speak to Mnda connect for advice and help with this matter. They won't be there over the weekend but will be in Monday at 9 am.

      Please keep us updated.
