My sister has started looking into this for my mom, does anyone else have any experience of doing this? I think this maybe be a 'special rules' situation, and not applicable to every one, even if it is possible.

I looked into this recently, from the direct.gov website it appeared that there's no way to access SRP before retiring age, however MND conect support worker had a thought also that there's some special circumstance that may be applicable. It would be nice to get back a fraction of the significant amounts that I've paid in :-). I'll do some more digging...

See question 3: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programme...ch/8804859.stm
Just need to find out what the contact point is for progress of this matter.

Maybe the MND Connect team could help with this. They should be able to find out exactly who you would need to speak to, I'm sure they've been asked similar questions before. Their number is 08457 626262 or you could email them at [email protected]
