    Hi Max,
Im not an insurance/pension broker but when I looked into cashing in my worthless private pension I did recieve a breakdown with a settlement value. It also stated written confirmation from a doctor of a 6 month life expectantcy to satisfy inland revenue rules.
I not sure if the acclaimed DS 1500 would be proof for you.

        Hi Max,
if you haven't already done so I would talk to an independant financial adviser about your optons.

I think it was on something like a thread about critical illness cover sometime ago but I haven't been able to find it but someone had a doctor who was willing to state a patient had a life expectancy of less than 6 months because half of all patients with the illness die within 14 months. His logic said that if you had had the disease for more than 8 months then there was a chance you would be dead within 6months. It worked apparently for the person concerned. If I can find the post I will point you to it.

You have been on here since last May so you must meet the criteria.

        Good luck.

        John

            HI Max,

Hope you ok ,As for your GP , isnt it amazing when you need them to be understanding ,they tell you you have MND and your going to die ?? , And when you need them to say your not going to have a long life ,they write something stupid like i dont know , whats changed since the diagnosis, for me it was never in any doubt that it was terminal and i wasnt going to see Christmas , But like most things now , I guess thay are covering there backside , for fear of any come back on them . If it where me Max i would go back and ask him/her to be a bit more helpful, instead of being a Total pratt ????.

            Wishing you all the best

            pete
