Sorry... trying to wipe any ideas

Hi all sorry but has any one got any tips on wiping as I canโ€™t physically get my hand round there anymore. I can probably get one then have to go back once I feel strong enough again and again. I donโ€™t really want to ask my wife or kids either. TIA ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Just before Christmas we had Clark and Partners convert our bathroom into a wet cell, taking out the shower bath, WC and sink unit, to replace it all with a sealed floor walk in shower and curtain with new bluetooth shower unit. Sink with thermostatic tap (I think its called that) and the craziest WC I have never seen or heard

A sticky subject this,(sorry), but one that I was concerned but not affected by, for many months.
I was not looking forward to asking for help and, like you, was struggling with hand strength to complete the job (sorry again).
I have been so lucky with my O.T.s putting in motion (so sorry) the installation of our wet cell, which included a ยฃ4000 Gerberit WC, an all in flush, wash n dry loo.
The way ahead for sure, but the wash still comes as a bit of a shock, especially when the wife cleaned the loo and accidentally turned up the wash pressure a few notches.

The washer toilets look just what I need. Wonder if they do them cheaper than 4K though ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™ve literally had a chair given to me for living room and thatโ€™s it. Who do I ask for these things ? I donโ€™t mind buying things if cheap enough.

My Occupational Therapist made arrangements to see if I was entitled to one through my council. I was surprised that I was entitled to an electric comfy chair at first, but very pleased to find out about the wet cell conversion available. Speak to your O.T. first I would think.

My wife wipes my bum for me. She didn't like the thought of it at first but soon got used to it. Doesn't bother her or me at all now. She sees it as part of caring for someone she loves.

Wow, my wife also said it would not bother her, but it would have bothered me I am sure. Perhaps if we were (and still could be) put in that situation where she had to, we would find out who is really bothered. A fine lady, your wife.

I got funding for a bio bidet 1000 from the MND association via my OT .You also then need to check if your shower chair or whatever you use to get on to the toilet is high enough so as not to cause the bio bidet not to work.I just got mine for same reason as hands are weak and anticipating needing help for bottom washing. Its being fitted this week but discovered the shower chair ordered with it isnt high enough!Trying to hang on to some dignity and privacy and avoiding my hubby taking on this task despite saying he would gladly help me..How Blessed am I! Best wishes Mary
