Thanks Debbie, it’s one of the reasons we’re moving. We’re currently on the 1st floor with no lift so I’m not eligible for a motorised wheelchair if I can’t bring it into the flat. Is also quite small for adaptation etc.
    We’ll keep looking anyway.
    Thanks Jerry x

    Hi Jerry,

So sorry you are finding life so hard... it's not surprising with the huge changes you have had to make.

Good luck with finding a new and more suitable flat. It might just be me being super cautious but when we were looking for a new home I didn't want to rely on a lift. If the lift was out of order or In the unlikely event of an emergency I knew I would be stuck . It's just a thought.

I really hope you get sorted soon,
    Love Debbie x

    Big hugs

Jerry, I'm not surprised you're finding life in London so difficult, given who and what you left behind in Thailand....

Hope you find suitable accommodation ASAP.

    Sending you a big hug.

    Love Ellie.

No need to apologise Jerry. It's understandable why you might be struggling, especially if you have got the additional challenge of having to move home.

I hope you and your brother can find somewhere suitable to move to.

    Take care.

    Love,
    Kayleigh xx

Thanks Ellie, I will have a look at the sites. I should have done this before but circumstances etc. I’m doing ok Ellie but have really deteriorated since returning to the UK. You sound like you’re still going strong. Your courage is awesome xx Jerry

    Hi Jerry,

It's good to hear from you again.

Good luck with your search for a home swap.

You might already know about tenancy exchange websites, but just in case you don't, there are 3 listed (with links to their websites) on Shelter's 'Tenancy Exchanges' webpage (one is 'Homeswapper', already mentioned by Ellie):-

Very best wishes to you and your brother,

    Jerry,

Have you tried the specialist home swap websites too? For example HomeSwapper & Glassbob, to name just two.

Hope you're doing as well as possible?

    Love Ellie.

    Central London flat swap

Hi folks, my brother and I are looking to swap our 2 bedroom social housing dwelling for similar with lift access. All areas of London considered. We live in a fairly modern building and now need to make alterations for my disability and would prefer a lift for my wheelchair.
Working...
