Didn't see it yesterday, just watched itv4 repeat. Brilliant riding by Mark and his team. Unlikely hang onto it to the end though as a sprinter the mountains will probably take it off him today.

I never wrote him off Terry. Just said he was unlikely to hold the lead in the mountain stages. Still one of the best sprinters and even today let Griepfel celebrate his victory until the photos proved him wrong.
He is now chasing Eddie Merx record 34 stage wins so that may inspire him to take at least 3 stages and preferably 4. Champs Elysee would be a good place to take the 4th and it is always a sprint finish. Could be tempted to go watch him do that on 24th.

Another Brit won the stage today Terry. Steve Cummings from Leicester, I think. Passed over by the Olympic selectors for Rio! Must be mad when he is so in form. Went out on his own and stayed there. Finished ahead of the next duo by over a minute. Made it look easy. Belgium , Greg Van Avermaet retained the yellow jersey for a third ( and probably his last) day but had to ride out on his own to give himself 1.5 minutes over his rivals. Froome still in a good place, maybe tomorrow.

And another Terry, Chris Froome with a yellow jersey and stage win. Mark Cavendish could be out if he doesn't make the cut. Will be in the green jersey if he does. Adam Yates in the white jersey. Not bad so far for Britain. 3 out of 4 jerseys and 5 out of 8 stage wins.

                I just watched it John;

Froome unbelievable, I was only surprised that he didn't gain more time. Mark made it with five minutes to spare. It's nice to see sky doing things differently, I don't think there old riding out the front all day is the best use of manpower.

                  Hi Terry,
Mark was the last man over the line. Didn't make the time really but because he was part of a group of about 40 they didn't want to send them all home which was there only choice or move the goal posts. Hope he can cope with the next stage which is going to be a lot more demanding. He has the second highest number of stage wins of any competitor. Would be good if he could make it to first.

I hope to see a little of The Tour of Britain if the weather is reasonable.

I will be standing up in my wheelchair at Tuddenham at about 2 pm

My granddad will be picking me up at 10 am and we are going to a nearby water park for a cooked breakfast that has good reviews. It's my turn to pay so I told him it was a Mac donnalds burger breakfast.

                    Chances of heavy rain showers???????????

                      Enjoy yourself Terry

Hopefully there will be no rain showers to rain on your parade, if there is it can’t be as bad as what’s heading for Florida and hoping won’t be coming my way as well…

Maybe Grandad would prefer Costa instead of a McDonald’s Egg McMuffin ??? I don’t know about in your country, but in mine I don’t believe those are real eggs in their eggs ?? LOL

                        Hi Terry,

They finished in my town on Wednesday and it was a great spectacle however the streets were gridlocked as they were closed to traffic however I got there on my scooter.

I had the same thoughts as CC. Should have gone to Costa.

I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

Yep, was there, got good position on a corner with a good view in both directions. Half of good beer in my hand and a bus stop to shelter under when needed.

But I was on TV in the adverts.

                          Such is life.

My husband Martin was diagnosed in February and was/is a keen cyclist. We have been going to see the Tour De France for the past fifteen years in the alps, Mt Ventoux and Paris.
Martin has ridden many of the alpine climbs.
We are going to Cardiff to see the final stage of The Tour Of Britain and after a quick e-mailto the organisers they have kindly offered us free hospitality at the finish area, including lunch and more importantly a free bar. Thumbs up to them.

I'm sure there's room there for a little one or two as Barry will be there if a free lunch as well.

                              Enjoy the day.
