    I've just emailed John, just to wind him up a bit, LOL;

    Hi John, I see they've rolled out the old hasbeen again and he might ride past your front door in the "Tour of Yorkshire".

    Hope Cav does well.

    Love Terry

      John's reply;

      Hi Terry,
      Pleased to hear from you. The name had me struggling for a while. I have moved doors but the Tour will be passing Saturday. Cav left his bid for victory too late as he did in 2012 Olympics and again on TDF into Harrogate when he ended up crashing out.
      A Yorkshire man won today which was brilliant. Didn’t watch it all but just the last 35kms. Brilliant breakaway but the peloton mistimed their dash for the line or found the going tough because of strong headwinds.
      Not taking in many of our hills Saturday but back this way Sunday and passing near to Sir Gary Verity’s home. Few more hills on that run and comes through Middleham which is only a couple of miles away. I will be there rattling a tin for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance on the day. Hope you are still enjoying yourself and entertaining the troops on the MNDA website. Not logged in for a longtime. Is CC still about? Give her my good wishes. Sorry we fell out when someone was being unpleasant to her. Presumably her friend is no longer with us. CC found her denial and faith in quack doctors incredible but I can understand how she wished to hang onto a slim slice of hope.

      Take care.
      John

      And later after I replied saying something like It's easy to fall out with people on the forum, most people are in a very bad place so it don't take much to trigger something off.

      I'll post some of your reply if that's OK. Cc's friend is still alive, I don't know how.

      John said;

      By all means quote as much or as little as you like. I know what you mean about us all being in a bad place, both patients and carers. Maybe Cc's friend didn’t have als. Although I do think survival rates are better in the USA because the medical professionals are more likely to carry out tracheotomy procedures. The main reason being that in America the patient is an income stream whereas in the UK the patient is a drain on NHS resources. Excuse my cynicism.

      Regards to anyone who remembers me.

        I do have a soft spot for John;

        He was willing to travel and actually help others and did help Dave move and set their house up. Such a generous man.

        Good on you John, love Terry

          I touched base with John yesterday, as there was a bike race in his area,

          But he could not brave the weather here and is in France. Flying back this week.

          He sends his regards to people who he knows on the forum. I did update him with goings on.

          Love Terry

            Oh that's nice to hear Terry - is he keeping well?

            He's gone all wimpish if the weather sent him off to France - not a true Yorkshire man then

            Love Chimp.

              He said that he got his date's wrong so that was why he is in France and not watching the bike race live, Ellie,

              His back home tomorrow, just as well we have saved some weather for him.

              Yes, he is keeping well.

              Love Terry
