    Hi Cc,

Zager and Evans was a US rock-pop duo of the late 1960s and early 1970s named after its two members, Denny Zager and Rick Evans. They are best known for their 1969 hit single "In the Year 2525", and the fact that they never had another national hit record.

"In the Year 2525" is a 1968 hit song by the American pop-rock duo of Zager and Evans. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks commencing July 12, 1969.[2] It peaked at number one in the UK Singles Chart for three weeks in August and September that year.[3] The song was written and composed by Rick Evans in 1964 and originally released on a small regional record label (Truth Records) in 1968.

I reckon that you're so old that you're brain is going

    Love Terry

      Hi Kayleigh

I thought all women were Barry White fans lol Years ago we had this this DJ here on a radio station that would come on at 4pm every day and told all his female listeners to go pour themselves a glass a wine, and make themselves a hot bubble bath, and go sit back in their bathtubs while he played all Barry White songs for them.

1969 that explains why I never heard of them of that song.

This one is my favorite Barry song...it needs no explanation why...and its for all us women

        Hi Terry

It sounds like your duo was a one hit wonder, and I'm still younger than you so I'm surprised your brain remembered them ???

What a coincidence. We went out last night for dinner with friends at a disability friendly pub and they had a male vocalist performing. You know the sort, one step up from karaoke where the music is prerecorded and the singer has an okay voice.

What should be his opening song? None other than https://youtu.be/tB54XUhA9_w

I have to say he was no BW but it was decent.

Loved the Barry White and Pavarotti version, although it seemed a little strange to see them together.

We have tickets to Alfie Boe, Michael Bubble and Take That so very excited. We have a wheelchair space with a carer FOC , so I am choosing the music !!( although hubby secretly likes it )

After watching the voice last night, I would like to see Tom Jones. I am really showing my age because he's my mums favourite!

                Love Debbie x

That was such a coincidence Barry. At least the singer has got excellent taste in music, even if he didn't sound as good as the real Barry White. Did he sing Barry White songs all evening? - for me it would have been perfect if he had sung a few of Barry Manilow's hits as well! Hopefully you all had a very enjoyable evening.

Sounds like you have got some great music concerts to look forward to Debbie! I like Alfie Boe and Michael Buble too. In my family, it's me who is a fan of Tom Jones - my mum says that he is 'too old-fashioned!' I only watch The Voice because Tom is a judge on it - and it's always great when he sings during the show.

Talking of Micheal Buble, this song is for everyone in this fantastic forum family. I think you all have hearts of gold!, and thanks for making me smile, when I am feeling a bit fed up ....

That was very entertaining Kayleigh, enjoyed that duo's version of the song. I know Michael Buble, but don't know who the British guy singing with him is ? (but sssssh don't tell Terry I said that lol)

Michael Buble's three year old son was diagnosed with liver cancer, but I think he is doing ok now after undergoing chemo, the poor baby

Barry I like the original version of Barry's song best, but I think anyone singing with Luciano Pavarotti other then another Tenor is going to seem a little strange and surreal

Tom Jones...that's a blast from the past ...he was my Mom's favorite too. Terry might remember him from way, way back in his day lol

                        Hi CC,

Michael McIntyre is an English comedian and TV presenter, rather than a famous singer - and so you are definitely forgiven for not knowing who he is!!!!

Sir Tom Jones is a 'national treasure' over here and he has gained popularity with all generations since becoming a judge on The Voice.

I think that Tom definitely gets even more dashing and handsome as he gets older!! I think it's great that during episodes of The Voice, he has sung so much, sometimes by himself and other times with the contestants. For any fans of Tom, here are a couple of my fave clips from the show:-

That was fantastic Kayleigh! Loved those clips!!

Tom Jones still got his groove on ...How old is now? he's got to be in his 70's ?? his voice sounds just as good today as he did back then...wasn't he the Welsh guy women would throw their panties at on the stage ???..I can see why ! or maybe I'm getting him mixed up with someone else?? Terry may be right my brain going....

and Terry what are you talking about '2:10, CC" ?????????? Are you talking British ??? Could someone please translate in English for me lol

Btw Terry I never heard of your two latest hits from your dinosaur days either, where did you dig up those bones from ??......but even though you have the worst taste in music you know 'I will always love you' ...

                            Hi CC,

Sir Tom is 78 years young. I have never been to one of his concerts and so I'm not sure if the tradition of throwing those 'gifts' on stage still happens. I haven't seen it happening when he sings on The Voice though. These days, the Health and Safety people would probably 'get their knickers in a twist' about it, just in case Sir Tom got his feet caught up in one and tripped over!

I wonder what did happen to all those ladies 'undies'? - nowadays Tom would be able to sell them on e-bay!!! LOL

                            Kayleigh x

Oh he is a 'Sir' ! Your Queen must be a fan too! He sounds great for guy almost 80!

Yes he probably could sell those panties on e-bay Kayleigh, or auction them off for a charity, people buy anything a celebrity just touched

I was surprised to see Jennifer Hudson as judge there on your Voice, she judges on the American show The Voice too.

This one is for you Terry, maybe a song we both actually can agree on is a good one, its one of my favorites by them.
