I know that the clock is ticking, and so sorry for the delay in replying, but I haven't had the time to clock my family tree until a 'Hancock's Half Hour' ago...
... and, putting it simplistically, the answer to your question is "No".
But although Galton or Simpson aren't in my family tree', my Great-Grandad's name happened to be 'Les Dawson' and his brother and nephew were 'Steptoe & Son'. LOL
One of my great Uncles, 'Citizen James', was 'The Rebel' in our family. He was 'The Junk Man' at Steptoe's Yard (next to 'Galton & Simpson's Comedy Playhouse') - but he was too 'Happy go Lucky' and kept taking 'The Day Off' to harass the 'The Tea Ladies' at the Playhouse with 'The Offer' of 'Till Death Do Us Part'. He even got 'On the Wrong Arm of the Law' when he conned them into going on a freebie holiday with him (that was really 'A Holiday with Strings').
Although I have no family connections to Galton or Simpson, perhaps my obituary might include the line "A Gal who had more than a Ton of Simple jokes, to go with her Sonny sense of humour". LOL

Love
