With all the eggs they are laying, I could become self-sufficient and perhaps afford the good life - but I think I'll duck out of making any Christmas presents! LOL...
My family is going to put the decorations up (with some cracking instructions from myelf) and although I don't mind how crackers they become, I'm eggsact with my requirement about no more livestock! LOL ...
I dont know how you do it but your advent calendar is fantastic and brings festive cheer. I used to play duck, duck goose with my class after PE... They loved it !
Like you , I am going to be closely supervising the decorations. Already looking forward to the seventh day ( no pressure Kayleigh)
Thank you Miss! You have given me a festive flashback to very fond memories of my primary school days - and of my first teacher who, like you Debbie, was very kind-hearted with her words of encouragement.
I'm glad I've been crossing the 't's and dotting the 'i's in the 'Cracker of an Advent Calendar'! And its been very sweet of you to overlook my bad habit of starting some sentences with conjunctions (such as And or But) as well as the occasional pickles I get into with my punctuation. LOL
Thank you for being such a kind and caring 'sister' in this fabulous forum family! Undoubtedly, you have blessed all the many children you have taught, over the years, with happy and fond memories of their schooldays - and, just like my first teacher, I think you are ...
Although I didn't realise it at the time, I think my first teacher must have been a Sugarbabe! LOL - because she used to encourage/bribe us to be good all week, by rewarding us with sweet treats every Friday (and if she hadn't had a Sugar Daddy, how could she have afforded all that Woolworth's pick-n-mix?!! LOL).
Rehearsals for tomorrow's post have been going swimmingly and the swans are already en-pointe for tomorrow's performance - which, if they are too excited to sleep, will commence soon after midnight (or if not, curtains-up will be sometime after the cracker of dawn! LOL).
I was so wild about the geese that I didn't mind them gobbling up a large supply of my festive treats (but, perhaps, they did fleece me of too many of my Christmas clippings?). However, they have left plenty of tit-bits for the other birds to enjoy - and so, hopefully, the swans won't swan off in a huff during tomorrow's opening of the calendar! LOL).

Love Debbie x
Hi Debbie,
Both my daughters are primary school teachers who changed careers in their late 30’s. They recount many stories of the joys the children bring as well as the challenges.
Kayleigh, your mention of Woolworths brings back happy memories of spending my pocket money on records. I didn’t have a sweet tooth then and my daddy wasn’t into sugar but it was the son of his best friend who got me my first job in the industry.
My first record purchase age 13 was this https://youtu.be/iufj20tS6wI
I think I have matured in my musical preference.
On the seventh day of Christmas my true love sent to me 7 swans a swimming ...
... and although he assured me that all rehearsals had gone swimmingly, I've got all feathers crossed that their performance doesn't go down the Swanny!! LOL...
I'm going to need extra milk in time for the Forum Family's Christmas party (and I've herd that I need to provide extra portions of cream for the Forum's Secret Santa). So, hopefully, the new maids will be better at milking than the previous ones - who, for some reason, could never get anything out of Daisy (despite her always going commando!) ...LOL ..
The Forum's 'Cracker of an Advent Calendar' should provide more than enough crackers & cheese for the party! - and some entertainers are due to leap out of the Calendar over the next few days.
So, I just need to set the scene with some mistletoe and wine - and although some views are from the rooftops, don't be put off if you don't like heights (because this festive scenery is Cliff free!) .....
... and on the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me more than 9 ladies dancing ... and it's a line up that even Santa would be proud of ....
... and, unsurprisingly, the Time Lords had doctored their time machine to be in sync with Greenwich Mean Time, to ensure they were leaping into number 10 exactly on time...
...unlike Sweet Lord Sugar, who always leaps through the door in his own sweet time - but leaping into song, on time, are his loved-up sugar-babes ...
Sending everyone candy carts of sugar-pie dreams and honey-bunch hugs,
Love
Kayleigh x
.. but the sugar-babes are still too lost without their Sugar Daddy! - perhaps Sweet Lord Sugar heard whisperings of a sweeter offer behind door number 'legs 11' or even number 12?? ... to be continued ...

Hi Kayleigh,
I’m more interested in who will be at no.10 on Friday but enough of politics. Whoever it is will be lording it up or maybe even ladying to be politically fair. I look forward to your next musical post.
... because it's the only time of year when Supermarkets sell plenty of brandy butter!
But where is Sweet Lord Sugar? ...
... well, the latest sound waves (from my seven swans a swimming) are that the sugar-babes have arranged a rather sweet surprise for their Sugar Daddy ..
... on the riverbank, where the Lords of Dance (and their ladies-in-waiting) are ready to tap out a merry riverdance for him ...
After breakfast, I must drum up enough enthusiasm to do some Christmas shopping - and I've enough funds in my Christmas kitty to buy gifts 'from the Kitty'...
... and the last link, in this Christmas post, is to a winter wonderland - where Santa has drummed up more than enough seasonal work for dozens of his elves ...
Sending lots of love & very best wishes to everyone in this fabulous forum family (and please take care, especially if you are going out and about in the wintery weather this season).
