        Yep, I like his stuff, he sings with a lot of emotion and feeling, Deb;

        I'm going out tonight dressed in black with wings to burn some rubber.

        Years ago I used to play this out very loud before I went out on my motor bike, it had a calming affect on me:-

                I have just finished dinner listening to the lyrics and music of the late Glen Campbell from his last recorded album Ghost on the Canvas. I suggest you listen alone and focus on the lyrics since he obviously knew he was dying of Alzheimer’s. Glen describes how many of us must feel and although I suggest you need to be feeling strong to listen, I was happy to have a good sob.

                  Hi;

                  I know it's really not the time of the year for this but I could not resist playing this great British singer.

                  For you Cc because she has been doubting my loyalty :-

                      Hi Gang

                      I don't know if you guys are having the same controversy going on in your country as we are having here over Dean Martin's Christmas song 'Baby its Cold Outside' ?

                      A lot of our Christmas radio stations are not playing because the 'Me Too' movement people are saying it's not 'consensual' the woman in the song is being forced into a situation she doesn't like.

                      Oh poor Dean.

                      I think its ridiculous this love song was written so long ago, and I don't view it the way the Me Too movement people do. A lot of people agree and don't view it that way either so this guy did a remake of the song putting a funny spin on it.

                      Its so funny and enjoyable

                      Enjoy

                        How ridiculous Cc;

                        It's just a couple playing around, no forcing and just very light banter type stuff.

                          I know Terry, I think banning this song is just nuts!!

                          Its one of my all time favorite Christmas songs too. Not all stations banned it by some did by entertaining this ridiculous nonsense over it. I view it as the guy just loves the woman and wants her to stay with him. Why it had to be turned into something more than that is ridiculous nonsense to me.

                          Poor Dean Martin the guy isn't even here anymore and the 'Me Too' people are going after him too!!

                          I'm glad that singer put out his funny version of it ...puts it all in prospective. People need to chillax

                          What really annoys and angers me is what about all those disgusting rap songs where they are calling women b**** and H*** why is that allowed to played on the radio stations for all women to hear especially young girls ?????

                          Thanks for the original beautiful version Terry

                            Well said CC and Terry.

                            I love any song sung by the smooth crooner Dean Martin. If I had ever been given the option staying inside with a true gentleman such as Dean Martin or going out into the cold, I know what my choice would have been. The 'Me Too' movement may choose to move out into the cold - but getting chilblaines and frostbite ain't my style!

                            My favourite Christmas animation is "The Snowman' and I enjoy watching it every year.

                            I love the song 'Walking in the Air' from it because it reminds me that:-

                            1. I used to love making snowmen as a child and big kid (who doesn't?!).
                            2. No matter how sophisticated toys and games get, the simple joys of playing in the snow and creating a snowman will never go out of fashion.
                            3. I love the way that children get so over- excited and happy when they see the first snowflakes fall. Even if they have seen snow many times before, their delight at seeing snow and rushing outside to play in it never ever fades.
                            4. I was interested to find out recently that although Aled Jones recorded a version of 'Walking in the Air' in 1985, it was a different chorister who recorded the version for the animation released in 1982.

                            Last but not least, the lyrics of this song and the animation that goes with it remind me that ....
                            disability can never limit our imagination. Whenever we want to,, we can close our eyes and imagine that we are doing the most wonderous things, like walking on water ..... or even 'walking in the air'!

                            Merry Christmas to everyone,
                            Kayleigh xx

                            P.S Dear Cc. I notice that 'Santa' has been sweet talking you with the song 'I love you because ...' He is such a smooth operator! But don't be taken in by his words of romance ... as regular visitors to this forum know, that sweet talking 'Santa' is really our very own, fantastic and fun-loving 'Top Cat' in disguise!

                              Hi Kayleigh

                              Haha very true, a lot women would prefer to stay inside with Dean where it was nice and warm

                              These 'Me Too' people need to calm down just a little bit they act like Dean had the poor girl chained to his bed ! He just wanted her to stay warm, have a drink or two with him and hey who knows..nothing wrong with that....completely consensual.

                              I have never seen your Snowman, I only know Frosty the Snowman. Yours is a lovely animation and song.

                              LOL no worries about our Santa, I know just how charming he can be when he wants to be...and just as naughty. I got his number...and he's got mine LOL

                                Hello Cc,

                                I am glad you enjoyed the Snowman animation and music. Was not sure if you would have seen it before - it is a bit of a classic on TV at Christmas over here.

                                I love Frosty the Snowman too. As we have been talking about perfect gentlemen, I that that Michael Buble singing the song is perfection!

                                https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3_ZiWMbI7Ik

                                And talking of a cool character ... here is a fun fact about TC:-
                                Our 'most tip-top Top Cat' may already know this (and people of a certain age on this forum may also remember!) - when the cartoon 'Top Cat' was first aired over here, the title of the cartoon in the opening and closing credits was changed from 'Top Cat' to 'Boss Cat' .This is because there used to be a cat food called 'Top Cat'.

                                https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QoA43NdzTuU

                                The titles were later changed to Top Cat - and any chance of confusion was avoided because the cat food had been discontinued.

                                Best Christmas wishes,
                                Kayleigh x
