    Big Gee's music thread

I was looking for the old thread that Graham started a few months ago.

It appears to have gone so I did email Graham but yet to get a reply.

So I'll start it off with this:- I'm only human after all:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3wKzyIN1yk

Dedicated to Barry for his PATHETIC moan on here, (his words, not mine) . We are all entitled to a moan or a rant.

    Love Terry

For me... one of my favorites

    This guy just keeps getting better with age. My favorite lyrics in the song is when he sings;

'Without you I'm a drummer girl that can't keep a beat
An ice cream truck on a deserted street'

This song is a sunny day for me

Thanks Terry for resuming this thread.

My contribution today is Paul Weller because I have just bought tickets to see him in Nottingham next February. Always looking forward.

      More to follow.

        Hi all,

Today I nominate The Happy Mondays with the song Step on. It came from the album Pills 'n' Things and Bellyaches. How appropriate!

I hope you make the best of Monday.

I have never liked Mondays, I don't know why because it was much the same as any other day as I have worked rolling shifts most of my life.

I think that it was the only night that there was not live bands on when I was young in the East of London.

          SO I've choose this:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB4XucblfXQ

And it's a better song, Terry

I'm not very good at copying links but here we go! If it doesn't work I will need instructions.

The sun is shining and I am feeling very mellow so here is my all time favourite.

              Hi Wendy

I couldn't view it. It said the video was not available, but that could just be from the US side (often I can't view things others here can) maybe others there can see it. If not I can try and copy it for you ?

              Great song btw

                  Terry,

It's a better song I agree but we will have to differ about Mondays.

                  Wendy,

So many versions of this excellent classic but my favourite is Ella and Louis.

I agree, I have it on my iTunes by Sam Cooke, Mahalia Jackson, Ella, Ricky Nelson and Janis Joplin all very good versions but I always go back to Sam...

                    Glad the link worked.

Hate Mondays too Terry ....love Thrusday! my favorite day

When I worked down on Wall Street full time I dreaded Sunday night knowing I had to get up at 5am to commute 2 hours on the bus to the City and had 5 days ahead to have to do it.

Here's my 'Monday' song and the song makes me feel as old as Terry's vinyl record lol
